Neuro Magnesium Improves Brain Plasticity

Brain plasticity is a term linked with cognitive learning and memory. Simply stated, the brain is able to make new neuron connections. When learning a new skill, the brain creates new connections to help remember steps, instructions, or moves. When these connections are damaged or as the brain ages, the brain function seems to fade and forget important information. The brain is often capable of relearning these connections.

Magnesium improves brain plasticity, meaning that it strengthens the neuron connections that are the foundation for these functions. However, not all magnesium supplements are able to break the blood-brain barrier. Only small molecules, like lipids, are able to penetrate this barrier. This is why taking a magnesium that is formulated especially for brain function is important to those with brain injury. We need to improve our neuron connections, or brain plasticity. We need a magnesium that is able to penetrate the blood-brain barrier.
