Most of life is dealing with mundane issues… learn, earn, buy, etc. When you’re told your “healthy” daughter is in ICU with a burst brain aneurysm you realize how fragile life can be and the blessing of good health.

A long drive from Orlando to Houston allowed the rise of innumerable questions… What? How? Cure? Live? Treatment? Future? Generally a tough old crust, I was scared! Most have never heard of a brain aneurysm and most assuredly don’t know what’s to be done about one.
By any other name, my baby girl’s recovery is a miracle! She is smart, strong, and independent; so I don’t hear about the things she deals with every day. From the outside, her recovery appears total.
The vast majority of those suffering the same diagnosis do not fare as well. That’s especially frightening in the early stages. I am proud of my daughter and immensely proud of her for starting “BrainReigns”, a website to advise and answer, in layman’s terms, some of the many questions related to brain trauma.
